Absolutely , and you answered my only question , you serviced the trans , on this model , it can be the weak link at times , the 700r transmission does not use a true over-drive , but a lock-up torque converter , and when serviced correctly , will still go a long way , I retired my 96 at 271,000 , trans was still good , engine ran , but needed differential work . proper service and maintnance is the key , that , and we no longer over tach our engines the way we did in the days of only three gears in an automatic .
