Is it a good idea to get a tattoo while I have Shingles?

Don't get a tattoo while you have shingles-it's contagious to people who haven't had chicken pox...actually it is a form of (dun dun dun) the virus-don't freak out-has nothing to do with *that* kind. BUT while you have the sores you don't want anyone touching it-and you certainly don't want the tattoo gun agitating it because yes, I imagine it will keep it from healing as fast. I had it on the back of my shoulder-work sent me home (lol) and I was out for nearly 3 weeks, so....you might want to reschedule and just make sure you wash your hands often.
