House electrical box's?

If you are talking about Plastic Nail-on boxes, boxes with the nails already attached They would be fine for the outlets you want to add, But you would need round nail-on boxes for the lights, but if you are talking about pop-in or old works boxes the kind that have fold out ears then no you can't use them there's no way to attach them to the rafter/stud, remember if they are nail-on boxes set them out 1/2 inch from the wall incase you ever sheetrock the basement
