How to remove "TATTLE TALE GRAY" from 'wash cloths & towels'?

I have new wash cloths that after the first time washed they had a center spot of dingy appearing areas that no matter what I do I cannot get the dingy area to come out. Have tried washing with "Bleach Additive" washing powder or liquid, pouring 'Pure Bleach' onto the white ones, tried spraying with stain removers as well as 'OXI CLEAN', 'Shout It Out' with little or no success; so can anyone out there tell me what you think might work without me having to spend a fortune on new products just to see if they might work?
