Any info on satellite dishes on RVs and trailers?

I am seriously thinking of getting a coach or trailer and living in it. Some camping, but mostly in parks with hookups. I love the outdoors but also my email and some TV shows. I want to hear your stories and your advise. Email is easy if I by a handheld devise like a Sony PSP. But, I gather that satellite TV is like a cell phone. You pay the charges and pick up what the area offers. What about the voltage on the home. Should I look for a certain amount? (Generator is a given) This can include solar (if anyone can pick up TV with solar), usually used for lights and any esentials. Any info is welcome and thank you! Ger
