Does gallbladder pain have to be sharp and painfull?

I have been having dull aching pain in my upper right hand quadrant with spouts of nausea that comes and goes. An ultrasound and CT scan showed no signs of gallstones. I am having a HIDA scan on Friday. Could it still be my gallbladder if the pain is dull and aching and comes and goes and not seriously painfull?
