Starting a dixieland jazz band?

So I'm thinking of starting a dixie band, and I got a few of my musical friends to join (trumpet, trombone, clarinet, drums), and I was going to play banjo, but I may be stuck with the b instrument because i can't get a hold of my friend who plays tuba. I can also play electric b and bari sax. Would bari sax work as a b intrument?
