Whammy bar clicks on Squier Strat?

Hi! Glad you found the solution; however, when you loosened and then tightened the strings, you just made the problem go away temporarily. What you were hearing was probably not coming from the bridge, but more than likely from the nut. Just add a drop of silicone lubricant or light oil to each slot in the nut; as you activate the tremolo bridge, the lubricant will work its way into the slots. Add a little lubricant to each bridge pivot point as well, which will extend the longevity and make it operate smoother. Best regards, Dana
