Will a Manto center column fit in a Slik tripod?

I got a Slik tripod for Xmas and a Manto grip ballhead. I would like to get a Manto center column to replace the stock one from Slik, but I can't find the diameter of the Slik one anywhere and my own measurements don't seem to match up (2.5cm instead of 4cm, etc.). Does anyone know if a simple part such as a center column can be interchangeable between the different brands.
