Iguana + Exercise Pen?

I'm getting a Iguana this November from the reptile show... So i'm doing some research before i get one and almost all of the sites say a Iguana so have a outdoor cage so they can bask in it for a couple of hours so i was thinking of getting a Exercise Pen .But will that work?
